Dr. Dickey lives in Rock Hill, S.C., with his wife, Cindy. They have three children. He came to York County in 1979 as a lieutenant in the U.S. Public Health Service and was stationed in Sharon, S.C., at the Westside Health Care Center where he worked as a dentist. After three years in the USPHS, he opened his private practice in Rock Hill.
Dr. Dickey’s education includes graduating with honors from the University of Tennessee-Knoxville with a BA in Biology. He then attended the University of Tennessee College of Dentistry in Memphis where he was selected to participate in the Comprehensive Care Honors Program and graduated with a Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree in 1979.
Dr. Dickey enjoys dentistry as well as learning about and keeping involved with new advances in his field. He attends many dental courses each year so that he may learn more and improve his skills. Two of the most enjoyable aspects of dentistry to him are seeing and talking with his diverse mix of patients and improving their oral health for the long term. Taking care of his patients with comfortable methods and improving their appearance is especially rewarding.
